The Solway House by Ray Roush, circa 1992
Lake Lorelei - Pierce Twp./Brown County, OH
cf3 members Susan and Arlen Rissover recently had the opportunity to purchase this striking International Style lake home from the original owner, Lizi and (the late) Carl Solway. What started as a very modest 1970 summer cottage was modified and added onto in stages by architect Ray Roush (1920-2007), a close personal friend the Solways. Carl collaborated with Ray to craft a modern structure with a dual purpose - to afford amazing views of the lake from all points in the house, and to provide ample wall space for their art collection. The Solways believe this may have been Ray’s last commission, as he came out of retirement to design and supervise the construction of their project.
Please join us for a cf3 members virtual FB LIVE tour / q&a with the homeowners and architect Shawn Patrick Tubb as they discuss how to maintain the International Style while making some necessary repairs and updates.
