Join us Friday, June 27th for a last look inside iconic Crosley Tower on the University of Cincinnati campus. Completed in 1969, by A.M. Kinney Associates, this Brutalist building, named after UC alum Powel Crosley, is the 2nd largest single poured cement structure worldwide. It is not without controversy — in 2017 Architectural Digest named it one of the ugliest buildings worldwide. But in 2020, Cincinnati Magazine included it in a list of iconic Cincinnati architecture that defines the city.
Now it’s slated for demolition in 2026 to make way for a STEM facility. Love or hate it, join us as professor emeritus and architectural historian, Patrick Snadon shows us around and discusses the buildings highs — and lows as well.
Space is limited to cf3 members and registration is required.
When: Friday, June 27, 2-3:30PM
Directions will be mailed upon registration.
Please note: While there are 16 stories, we will only explore the first few. There will be stairs, so wear your comfortable shoes
