Sunday, July 22, 1:00 - 2:30, current cf3 members only.  space is limited to 35 attendees!

Please note that this is a very VERY limited opportunity to see this amazing house. Our host has requested that no photos be taken, and no mention of the house or its owners be made on social media. Additionally, refreshments will not be served, and outside food and/or beverages will not be permitted. Thanks for your understanding!

The house was designed with the premise of opening the space to the great views of the river and downtown, with vast windows that provide light and visual transparency.  Spaces inside are organized around a center courtyard.  Materials were carefully selected based on the quality of textures and colors.  Walls and ceilings (and floors in the upper floor) are clad with reclaimed Douglas Fir boards, salvaged from a demolished cotton mill.  Stone on floors and roof terrace is a rough-sawn Tennessee quartzite.  The building supporting structure is steel.  The exterior cladding is reclaimed cypress wood, burned and oiled.  Brick was used in side walls, inside and outside.  Overall, a great deal of attention was placed on architectural detailing, in an effort to make the building appear simple and unpretentious.
