The Pressler House, 1956.  The #presslerhouseproject was a comprehensive exterior hardscape/landscape project undertaken during the home’s 60th anniversary year.  Masterminded by architect Chris Magee and the homeowners, the project’s main objectives were to improve exterior drainage, re-build a failing retaining wall, re-build the garage from the slab up,  provide a garden space, make safe and easy to manage pathways from front yard to back yard on both sides of the house, integrate the side deck, enlarge and improve the back patio and exterior entertaining space,  and overall enhance the indoor/outdoor flow and aesthetic appearance of the house and landscape.   The project took some interesting turns and there were a few surprises, but the lessons learned were invaluable and the final product met or exceeded all of the goals.  This 60 year old MCM is now better preserved than ever and ready for its next half century.
