Who’s up for a road trip to a cool place? cf3 is headed to Lancaster, Ohio to visit Gay Fad Studio! Gay Fad started in 1939 by Fran Taylor, a pioneer in midcentury glassware. Her company produced more that 500 designs for glassware and kitchenware which graced homes across the country until 1962.
Today, Gay Fad has been revived with new and vintage midcentury glassware inspired by Taylor’s designs. Jason and David Annecy, the current owners of Gay Fad, are raising awareness of Taylor's achievements and spearheading the resurrection of Gay Fad Studio to the glass world.
Join us on Saturday, September 21 for a visit with Jason and David. Hear how and why they decided to continue this legacy and what’s on the horizon for Gay Fad. Then feel free to explore the store, visit the Ohio Glass Museum and Glass Blowing Studio across the street. Later, grab some lunch in Lancaster!
